Acrylic paint is a popular choice in car painting, and 2k acrylic paint is a common option. To use this paint it needs to be mixed with hardener and thinner. But the difference with 2k acrylic paint is that it does not need a clear coat - the paint hardens and becomes glossy and hard by itself. When it comes to paint types when painting cars, there are generally two options: 2k acrylic paint for solid colors, and metallic/pearl base paint for metallic/pearl colors.
